After completing a very active first term as your Region V. Vice President, I remain even more committed and enthusiastic to work with and for our Region. It has been a wonderful experience to work so closely with all of the Chapter Officers. I have visited several Chapters throughout the Region and have engaged in conversations with many Chapter Members. I am proud of what we have accomplished and humbled by the dedication to our profession!
During my current term, we have successfully achieved improving communication between Chapters through meetings, conference calls, phone calls and email. Chapter Officers have also participated in webinars to increase their knowledge of available ASSE resources.
If elected to another term, I promise to continue the momentum to increase Chapter communication through mentoring opportunities, resource sharing, benchmarking and best practices. I will work to share resources for officers to increase educational opportunities and professional skill building for our Members.
As a global organization with diverse Members and needs we have grown this past year in membership, partnerships, professional development and networking opportunities. As we prepare to celebrate our 100th year anniversary, it is important to celebrate our beginning yet looking forward to our future.
Your feedback and opinions are important and have allowed me to be your voice at Board meetings to continually seek improvements to serve you, our Members.
