Platform Statement

I’m excited about the opportunity to continue to serve as your RVP, to add some real value to our membership, to network with some of the best in the business, and to support and lead our volunteer Area and Chapter teams.

My commitment is to continue to bring a pragmatic approach to the region, along with my past experience as RVP, Keystone Area Director and Western PA Chapter President.  This chapter year will prove important to establishing that same approach to our finances, our processes and our results.  Beyond the normal goals of improving year-over-year, 100% participation by chapter leaders in required events (ROC / AOC, Leadership Conference) and filing all your chapter’s required reports, I desire to see our members feel as if they’re part of something bigger than themselves.  Because ASSE membership is a personal journey, I want to create opportunities for members to participate in a way that suits them and their current situation and to not be so burdened by the commitment of office.  There’s always lots to do, so let’s find a creative way to contribute in an impactful way.  And to beat Steve Gray (RVP Region 3) in every available friendly competition!

This is what I believe I’ve brought (and will continue to bring) to Region VIII – a commitment to simplify and deliver value-added solutions to our chapters and their leadership, regardless of chapter size and a pragmatic approach to our processes.
