Aon Risk Solutions, Global Risk Consulting, Casualty Risk Control
Description: This session will help attendees understand a risk management tool used by oil and gas producers to manage the hazards presented by motor vehicle operation. Driving related incidents are the single largest cause of fatalities in OGP member company operations.
Journey management is not unique to E&P industry. In the UK, Health and Safety at Work etc Act requires an employer to assess risks to health and safety of employees while at work. Journey Management is addressed in 1999 legislation to manage work-related road safety. In the US, journey management has been included in the ANSI/ASSE Z-15.1 -2012 standard.
Speaker will explore how journey management is utilized in E&P industry and review key elements of journey management plan, risk assessment, and demonstrate use of guidance documents from OGP – International Association of Oil & Gas Producers created by the Land Transportation Safety Committee.
