June 12-15, 2011 - Chicago Be a part of the 100th Anniversary celebration! Plan to attend Safety 2011 June 12-15, 2011 at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois. You don’t want to miss the celebration in Chicago. In addition to the educational sessions and the Expo, you won’t want to miss the technical tours that are tentatively scheduled for Soldier Field, Glenview Airbase, NIPSA, Field Museum and CTA. While you are attending the conference, your family can participate in one of the many guest tours (tentatively) including a boat cruise, Frank Lloyd Wright, or see Chicago from a different perspective. In celebration of 100 years, plan to attend the Glittering Gala set for Monday evening. Plan on bringing your family to Chicago. Home to the Chicago Bears, Cubs, White Sox, Bulls and the World Champion Blackhawks, enjoy the streets of Chicago bursting with music, art, shopping, entertainment and some of the most renowned food establishments in the country! Visit the Navy Pier with its 150 foot Ferris wheel and countless dining and shopping options. Stop by Millennium Park and enjoy the art, architecture and entertainment, shop until you drop along the magnificent mile or view the Chicago skyline with a bird’s eye view from the Willis Tower (formally the Sears Tower) or the Hancock Tower. If water is your desire, take a boat tour along Chicago’s scenic lakefront, either along the Chicago River or the mighty Lake Michigan. Chicago- Your kind of town. See you there! SAFETY 2011 - Program Highlights: Thousands of Safety, Health and Environmental professionals will choose SAFETY 2011 as their primary source of professional development this year. Be a part of the excitement. Learn from the successes of other professionals and organizations, take away examples and strategies, network with your peers and earn CEUs. Executive Summit The American Society of Safety Engineers is pleased to present its 2011 Executive Summit Panel. This year’s Executive Summit Panel will discuss the views of senior management on the importance of employee safety and health and the expectations business and industry leaders have on the role of safety and health professionals. Understanding the perspective of executives at the highest levels of their organizations is a critical element of success for safety and health professionals. The panel moderated by a practicing safety professional will include questions submitted by attendees. KEY ISSUE ROUNDTABLES It’s your chance to SPEAK UP! Do you have a lesson learned to share with fellow professionals? Are you looking to meet with others with mutual interests? The Key Issue Roundtables will be hosted by ASSE Practice Specialties’ professionals in areas of their particular expertise. The Roundtables sessions will be conducted during the concurrent session periods. Join the discussion and share your ideas, challenges and successes in each moderated session. Pre- and Post-Conference Seminars Maximize your learning opportunities by attending ASSE’s Pre- and Post-conference seminars and workshops to give you the opportunity to take action on advancing your career and additional CEU/COCs. You can also gain extra CM points and CMPs by taking advantage of the one, two or three-day seminars offered before and after the Conference.
The conference will be held June 12-15. Pre-conference seminars are being offered Thursday, June 9 through Sunday, June 12 and post-conference seminars will be held Wednesday, June 15 through Saturday, June 18. This year, we are offering both the CHST (pre-conference) and OHST (post-conference) preparation workshops in addition to the ASP/CSP preparation.

SAFETY 2011 will include special events and displays that will celebrate the American Society of Safety Engineers' 100th Anniversary. Founded in 1911, the Society was formed in the wake of tragic events such as the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire.
