The $145 golf registration fee includes: Green Fee, Cart Rental, Range Balls and Lunch.  Prizes will be awarded for the top three teams and other activities such as longest drive and closest to the pin. This event benefits ASSEF’s scholarship program, which helps foster future SH&E professionals. Support the Foundation by registering individually or as a foursome, or by encouraging your company to sponsor the event at one of several levels ranging from $250 - $3,000.

Night Out Activities

Baltimore Aquarium (sold out)

Exclusive Night Out at the National Aquarium for conference attendees, guests and family members. Leisurely enjoy the aquarium’s exciting and captivating exhibits in a relaxed atmosphere without the hustle and bustle of a large crowd.

Experience Wings in the Water feeding demonstration where divers feed the largest collection of stingrays in the United States while a narrator explains the animal behavior. The Atlantic Coral Reef exhibit contains thousands of colorful tropical fish and one of the largest collections of sharks. Also enjoy the one-of-a kind Animal Planet Australia Wild Extremes habitat where a flash of color might reveal lizards skittering across the ground, flying foxes leaping in the trees or a crocodile gliding into a pond. Orioles vs Mets: A Night Out at Camden Yards

ASSE’s Chesapeake Chapter invites you to attend A Night Out at Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles Baseball Club. Enjoy a night of major league baseball watching the Baltimore Orioles play the New York Mets. Registration includes admission to the ballpark and all you can eat ballpark food and non alcoholic beverages through the 7th inning.

Oriole Park at Camden Yards has been described as one of the most beautiful and exciting ballparks in the country. The stadium is located in the heart of Baltimore and is within walking distance of the convention center, Inner Harbor and the conference hotels. Camden Yards is a popular family event, almost every game is a sellout. Once tickets are gone, it’s one, two, three strikes you’re out so be sure to register early for this fun evening. Price includes $35 baseball ticket to the game with food provided and a $10 donation to the Host Chapter.

Tours are inclusive of transportation, tour guide, tour stops as well as all taxes and gratuities. All prices are per person. Children, where allowed, must be accompanied by an adult. Child pricing is based on specific ages. Use codes that begin with GG to register for guest tours.

Camden Yards Behind the Scene Youth & Parent Tour

Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The tour of Camden Yards will include all the areas of the park, including suites and press boxes. See what it’s like to be a bat boy or girl. A visit by some Bird brain may stop by to say “Hi!”

Day Trip to the Nation's Capital

This tour will provide an introduction to Washington DC. Travel by bus down the famous parade route of Pennsylvania Avenue passing notable buildings such as the Federal Triangle, J. Edgar Hoover FBI Building, and the U.S. Capitol Building. Proceed on to the nearby National Mall passing by many of the Smithsonian Institution buildings, Washington Monument, World War II Memorial and Lincoln Memorial. Walk a short 5 minutes to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Korean War Veterans Memorial. Lunch will be on your own at the historic Union Station. Tour on your own the National Museum of Natural History or the National Museum of Air and Space. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Boordy Vineyards Tour

No one under 21 years old may participate on the tour. Guests will have the opportunity to view Maryland’s oldest family run winery situated on a 230-acre farmin Baltimore countryside. You will tour the winery’s massive fieldstone walls that provide an ideal environment for the production and aging of award-winning wines and participate in a wine tasting.

Historic Tour of Mount Vernon

Travel to Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington and have the opportunity to tour the mansion, surrounding service buildings, and visit the Ford Orientation Center and the Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center with over 20 galleries and theatres to learn about Washington’s exceptional life and accomplishments.

Following the self guided tour of the mansion and grounds, continue to Old Town Alexandria, enjoy lunch on your own and an intimate glimpse of 18th Century Virginia.

A Historic Day Trip to Annapolis

The tour will take you to Annapolis for a walking tour of the historic city and the U.S. Naval Academy. The tour will include the Maryland State House, St. John’s College, and passmany 18th centurymansions. The United States Naval Academy visit will include the Naval Chapel, the Crypt of John Paul Jones and Bancroft Hall. Afterwards, you will have time on your own for lunch and to shop in the adorable boutiques scattered around the harbor. Requirements: Photo Identification is required upon entering the Maryland State House and the U.S. Naval Academy. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Technical Tours

All technical tours require a $30 advance payment per person, unless indicated*. No cameras, video or other recording devices are permitted for technical tours. Register early, tours have limited capacity. Use codes that begin with TT to register for technical tours.

Wheelabrator of Balitmore

This tour provides attendees with the opportunity to view a VPP Star Certified facility. Wheelabrator takes 250 tons of trash and turns it into energy every day. Attendees will learn how Wheelabrator can do amazing work and maintain great levels of safety. Requirements: Closed toe shoes and pants.

Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab

This tour provides a look at the Space Department operation to include vibration and thermal testing areas. Attendees will learn about safety SOP’s for Space operations, tour a hazardous waste storage facility to learn the requirements of hazardous handling and tour a test facility that includes auto crash test and potential high pressure testing. Requirements: Must be a US Citizen, Drivers License is needed for entry. No open toed shoes permitted.

Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA)

This tour will allow participants to experience hands-on the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC). Requirements: Government issued photo identification is required for entry.

Camden Yards Tour* ($10)

Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems

During the tour, attendees will have the opportunity to review safety practices and procedures of this defense contractor facility and the radar, communication and electronic countermeasures equipment. The tour will provide a better understanding of the safety involved by this VPP Star site. Requirements: Must be a US Citizen, no bags or purses permitted.

USNS Comfort Medical Treatment Facility (SOLD OUT)

The USNS Comfort is one of two military ships that respond to world crisis situations to providemedical aid. The primary mission of the Medical Treatment Facility (MEDTRE FAC) in USNS Comfort is to provide a mobile, flexible, and rapidly responsive afloat medical capability for acutemedical and surgical care. Requirements: Government issued photo identification is required at entrance to facility. Comfortable shoes
(no heels) and trousers/pants.

Paul Reed Smith Guitars Manufacturing Site (SOLD OUT)

The only company in General Industry who is partnered with MOSH in their CCP. During the tour you will see how a guitar is made froma block of wood to an instrument that can sell in upwards of $20K. Safety manufacturing practices will be featured. Requirements: No open toed shoes are permitted.
