Credit: 1 Day / .7 CEU / 1.0 IH CM Point # 07 - 1967 / .44 CHMM CMP
Description: Experts predict that the world is overdue for a pandemic, a global disease outbreak that spreads quickly from person-to-person. A pandemic influenza outbreak in the US, for example, may cause illness among thirty percent of the population and result in employee absenteeism rates up to forty percent for several months. You will learn how to assist your organization in developing comprehensive strategies and tactics to better prepare them for a pandemic event.

Learn to
Develop a plan to respond to the impact of a pandemic on your organization
Establish policy and procedure to follow during a pandemic
Allocate the appropriate resources to assure your organization is protected during a pandemic
Educate and communicate to your organization to reduce the impact of a pandemic
Coordinate with external organizations for additional assistance for your organization and the community it serves
