ASSE truly appreciates your contribution to making this year’s conference our best ever. You will receive a one-day or full complimentary conference registration (see registration section for details). Travel, lodging and meals are the responsibility of the speaker.
A copy of your session description will be available to review on our website at www.asse.org by December 1, 2012. Please review your session information for accuracy. Send any changes to Patricia Momney, pmomney@asse.org by December 15, 2012.
All speaker changes, substitutions, or major changes in the material to be presented must be approved by ASSE. If you have any changes to your presentation, please contact Bonnie Lipinski, blipinski@asse.org , as soon as possible.
Please upload your logistics information using the online Speaker Logistics Form. The following items are included.
Submit a short introduction to be used by the moderator to introduce you as the speaker of your session. Please include the following:
The conference standard meeting room set will include an LCD projector, screen, and one wireless lavaliere microphone. You are required to bring your own laptop if needed for your presentation. Laptops will not be provided. If you are speaking on a panel, (1) wireless lavaliere microphone and table microphones will be provided.
Recorded sessions will be made available for sale to ASSE members and nonmembers at a nominal cost. Speakers are eligible to receive complimentary access to their session. ASSE may, in the future, copy, distribute, play, show, display or otherwise make available the recordings by any means and in any media.
We invite you to submit a short, 20-30 second video introduction to your session for use when we promote the conference. This can be done using your own webcam or digital camera. ASSE may post videos on the Safety 2013 website at various times. We will post as many of the videos as possible. Click here to review guidelines for producing and submitting your video. Along with your video, you must submit a signed Permission to Rebroadcast Release Form and return it to Bonnie Lipinski at blipinski@asse.org or speaker fax 224.725.2871.
ASSE does not supply handouts for speakers. We ask that speakers do not provide handouts, as we are unable to duplicate handouts on-site. Speakers may bring handouts at their own expense only with prior approval. Contact Bonnie Lipinski, blipinski@asse.org, to obtain approval for handouts. ASSE does not permit material that constitutes advertising to be distributed.
You may submit your photograph to be added to your session’s description on the Safety 2013 website. Your photograph must be a headshot, less than 2 megabytes, jpeg or png format, 300 dpi resolution or higher.
When you arrive in Las Vegas, go to the “Speaker Registration” desk to receive your conference materials. You will receive a speaker badge, program book, general conference materials, and your session room and A/V requirements will be reviewed. Please note: Expo Education speakers will need to register on-site both as a speaker AND as an exhibitor.
Q: How Early Should I Arrive At My Session?
A: Please arrive at your session room no later than 30 minutes before your scheduled start time so you have enough time to introduce yourself to the moderator of your session and get comfortable with the audiovisual equipment you will be using. Plan to check in at Speaker Registration no later than 1 hour prior to your session.
Q: How Do I Reserve A Hotel Room For The Conference?
A: We suggest you make your hotel reservation no later than March 14, 2013 to ensure availability for your requested dates.
Q: Will I Receive Attendee Feedback From My Session?
A: Yes. We collect all of the responses from the session evaluations and will send the data to you via email in July. Please remind attendees to complete the online session evaluation form by adding this slide to the end of your PowerPoint presentation.
