Seminars Include

• CEUs/COCs and CM points

• Beverage breaks (breakfast and lunch will be on your own)

• Workbooks contain many sample problems, copies of the PowerPoint presentation used in the workshop, and additional definitions. This information will serve as a study guide for examination preparation after the workshop.

Time Schedule

Workshops begin promptly at 8:00 am and conclude at 4:30 pm each day.

Cancellation Policy

ASSE reserves the right to cancel any workshop or seminar two weeks prior to presentation. Registrants canceling within 10 working days of the program will be refunded tuition less $100 fee. Registrants who do not cancel and do not attend the workshop will not have tuition refunded. A $25 processing fee will be charged for substitutions. ASSE reserves the right to substitute faculty should unforeseen events occur.

Calculators needed for class

Instructors request each attendee bring a scientific calculator to class, such as a TI 30X IIS or equivalent. Effective January 1, 2004, only the following brands and models of calculators will be allowed for use during the examinations: Texas Instruments: TI-30, TI-34, TI-35, TI-36; Casio: FX-115, FX-250, FX-260, FX-300; Hewlett Packard: hp 9, hp 10, hp 12, hp 30. Different versions of the above brands and models will be permitted. For example, the TI-30X IIS and hp 30s calculators will be allowed, as they are versions of the permitted brands and models.

CHMM Credit

The Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) has authorized certain ASSE Seminars for CHMM recertification credit. A copy of your certificate may be used for claiming CMPs towards your CHMM recertification.

Physically Challenged

Whenever possible, arrangements will be made for physically challenged registrants provided ASSE receives 45 days advance notice. Please write a letter of explanation, your name and phone number, and attach to the registration form. ASSE will contact you.

Continuing Education

Certification Preparation Workshops may be taken to complete electives for the Certificate in Safety Management or toward the electives for the Executive Program in Safety Management. Other ASSE events offering continuing education and electives are:

• SeminarFest held at the beginning of each year, is a program offering more than 50 seminars over a
weeklong period.

• Safety Symposia are offered several times throughout the year.

• Pre and Post Professional Development Conference Seminars are held every June.

• Monthly Webinars

The Professional Development Conference and programs delivered by ASSE regions or chapters are not eligible to satisfy elective requirements.
