ASSE's 100th Anniversary Celebration!
The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 1760 Old Meadow Road, Suite 500, McLean, VA 22102. In obtaining this approval, ASSE has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standards which are widely recognized as standards of good practice internationally. As a result of their Authorized Provider membership status, ASSE is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standards.

ASSE invites those interested in presenting at its 2010 Professional Development
Conference
to submit a proposal for review by the Conference Planning Committee. Safety
2010 will provide a
forum for attendees to learn the profession’s best practices and to:
•Identify key issues facing SH&E professionals
•Expand their knowledge to improve their profes -
sional skills
•Prepare for the challenges in the SH&E fields
•Engage in the discourse concerning the profession
•Identify emerging issues relevant to the profession
The committee is particularly interested in advanced, technically oriented and practical presentations.

ASSE has received accreditation from the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET) as an Authorized Provider of CEUs. Through this accreditation, ASSE can offer its Chapters and Regions, CEUs for education events that satisfy the criteria and guidelines established by the IACET.

In October 2005, the Board of Certified Safety Professionals announced that CSPs who complete a safety-related certificate program containing two or more seminars may earn one COC in addition to the COCs earned for the seminars contained in the program.

If you have completed some portion of these programs, we can assist you in scheduling the remainder of your seminars so that you can receive this bonus COC. CHMM Credit – The Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) has pre-approved certain ASSE seminars for CHMM recertification credit. Seminars which have been pre-approved list the number of CHMM CMPs with the seminar description. ASSE will certify and maintain a record of your attendance. A copy of your Certificate of Completion for the seminar may be used for claiming CMPs towards your CHMM recertification.
