The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 1760 Old Meadow Road, Suite 500, McLean, VA 22102. In obtaining this approval, ASSE has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard which is widely recognized as the Standard of good practice internationally. As a result of their Authorized Provider membership status, ASSE is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard.

In October 2005, the Board of Certified Safety Professionals announced that CSPs who complete a safety-related certificate program containing two or more seminars may earn one COC in addition to the COCs earned for the seminars contained in the program.

CHMM Credit – The Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) has pre-approved certain ASSE seminars for CHMM recertification credit. Seminars which have been pre-approved list the number of CHMM CMPs with the seminar description. ASSE will certify and maintain a record of your attendance. A copy of your Certificate of Completion for the seminar may be used for claiming CMPs towards your CHMM recertification.
