Host Chapter Guidelines

I. PURPOSE

These guidelines provide instruction to the host chapter for the Professional Development Conference and Exposition.

II. HOST CHAPTER SUPPORT

ASSE will provide the host chapter:

  • Up to five (5) complimentary full registrations.
  • One (1) 10' x 10' chapter booth at the PDC in the year prior to the hosted PDC and at the host year.
  • Rental of audio-visual equipment for booth, to a maximum of $500.00.
  • Assistance in planning/operating tours arranged by the chapter.
  • Assistance in planning a Chapter Night Out if the chapter plans to have this event should the committee and chapter determine to hold one. 

III. HOST CHAPTER RESPONSIBILITY

The Host Chapter will provide:

  • A chapter member to act as liaison with the planning committee and serve on the PDC Planning Committee.
  • Assistance in obtaining a welcome letter from the governor and/or mayor.

The Host Chapter may also provide:

  • Local chapter members to staff a chapter booth at the prior year's PDC and host year.
  • Recruiting of briefcase stuffing volunteers (e.g., Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, chapter members) if requested.
  • Recommendations on tour events.
  • Recommendations, development and coordination of on technical tours, which would be of interest to attendees.

IV. HOST CHAPTER NIGHT OUT

The Host Chapter may wish to recommend a night out. The event is subject to approval by the PDC committee. Details of the arrangement will be based on agreement between the Host Chapter and ASSE Headquarters.
