BOARD OF DIRECTORS

I. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Board of Directors is responsible for the management and operation of the Society, and for the planning and implementation of programs and activities which carry out its stated purposes and objectives. The Board adopts and administers an annual budget within the fiscal policy of the Society and develops and maintains operating procedures. It also renders all official interpretations of the ASSE Bylaws.

The Board of Directors consists of the following:

President  
President-Elect  
Senior Vice President Elected by Membership
Vice President - Finance Elected by Membership
Vice President - Practices & Standards Elected by Membership
Vice President - Professional Development Elected by Membership
Vice President - Professional Affairs Elected by Membership
8 Regional Vice Presidents Elected by Regional Constitutencies
Executive Director/Secretary Elected by Board of Directors upon recommendation by Executive Committee

The President, President-Elect, and Senior Vice President each serve a one-year term. They cannot be re-elected to the same office.

Finance, Council and Regional Vice Presidents each serve a two-year term and may be elected to a second two-year term.
