This webinar will introduce SH&E professionals to a 4 Step Process for managing their careers as well as adding value to their organizations.
This interactive webinar designed for ASSE provides participants with a framework for a career planning process, which is designed to optimize personal growth and career potential. Participants will be introduced to tools and a model to help them develop a personal career plan.
As a result of participating in this workshop, participants will be better able to:
- Identify and align their strengths and skills with the needs of the organization
- Develop a Career Vision for career progression and advancement that increases their contribution and value to the organization
- Set goals and develop action plans to achieve organizational and personal professional goals
- Identify a process for pursuing new career opportunities or enhancing their current career path
Participants will walk away with a Career Development Process Action Plan, ideas and resources for professional development including the ASSE Publications Out of the Box: Skills for Developing Your Own Career Path by Mark D. Hansen and ANSI/ASSE Z590.2-2003 Criteria for Establishing the Scope and Functions of the Professional Safety Position. These materials will be sent approximately 10 days before the webinar. For those registering after April 3, materials will be mailed after the workshop.
Nancy Urell will present this webinar. Ms. Urell is president of Career Corner Associates, a career management-consulting firm focused upon helping organizations develop tools and processes to retain their top talent and foster employee growth and development. Ms. Urell is a former corporate career development professional who has worked with individuals to reinvent their careers during major corporate changes. She is currently a career management consultant who specializes in change management and team development.
